Recruitment training session

    No-one on this board seems to know the slightest thing about recruitment. You sift applications, draw up a short list, then interview the best applicants.

    That is all that is happening with Robins. He is ONE of the people who have made the short list. We are hearing about it because in football his current employer has to give permission for us to interview him.

    Doesn't mean we are not interviewing anyone else.

    Yes, agreed, but ....

    football is a public sport, in which the public are the customers and in which the managers are usually fairly well publically known. Folk know who the good managers are more than in the business world. However, it is important that any candidate can say what his vision is and that the board is in agreement with it and able to support it, including financially.
