Recycling - what a load of rubbish!!

    Well, that's what I used to think. However, for some strange reason I now get a sense of satisfaction by recycling as much as I possibly can. Why won't the council take plastic bottles, tho'? A car battery, yes. A plastic bottle, no. Don't understand that.[​IMG]

    Still just doing glass and paper round my way....yet some areas of Barnsley are doing cans.....can't work that out.


    I remember the guy on Radio Sheffield a while back who thought that because he filled his box for paper and the guy next door hardly had any in his, meant that he was doing more for the environment because he was recycling more paper! He had difficulty understanding that he was using up more in the first place!

    It's not bad round here. So far the things that will be collected are: paper, clothes, cans, batteries, shoes, food waste & glass. They won't collect plastic or cardboard.
