Is it worth appealing or will we get shafted even more

Pointless as Phillips is on loan and unlikely to be with us next match

He's not on loan. Joined us on a 3 year deal in September.

They can’t overturn it. They would be admitting to the gross injustice.

We must appeal it. I know it will be fruitless but we ought to do it anyway to keep it in the forefront and let the football authorities know we aren’t going to keep on letting these things slide and being pushed to one side.If they then impose additional penalties we should appeal those as well.

If they were to overturn it they would be opening themselves to litigation, it being such an important decision in terms of the consequences. Their way out will be to say that the tackle was made with excessive force.

No way they will overturn it and admit the error of VAR. Disgusting decision.

It can’t get any worse! How can it be worse than the non penalty for hand ball at Burton and countless others this season, the two Var decisions against us today which every independent commentator as said were wrong? We can’t keep turning the other cheek to all this crappage. We need to kick up a fuss otherwise it’ll just keep going on.

I’d like to think I’ve always been pretty understanding of officials and reasonable in not thinking there’s any conspiracy at work. That’s gone for me now. It’s not even today, today was just a culmination. We’ve had even worse go against us this season. Ball literally saved on the line by an outfield player and *still* didn’t get a pen. Cole yanked back on the line in another game - no pen.

I’ve come to the conclusion now that the EFL profit from broadcast deals, and the broadcasters like to see the big teams playing each other. Capitalism. Turning from a sport to an entertainment product.

I know but but if we start and keep letting them know we aren’t just going to keep meekly taking it we might just turn the tide

I'd like to know what the club is doing about it. Are they just accepting token apologies from chrome dome Howard Webb or are they saying, hang on, no, officials should be held accountable for their decisions. Why aren't they being disiplined or even sacked.

I've long held the view that officials are awarded far too much protection. If managers dare to publicly criticise a decision then they are quickly fined, censored and or banned yet it's their jobs on the line FFS. Officials should be made to come out and explain their decision making or lack off but instead they drive off into the sunset thinking they've done great and will get another gig the following weekend.

Can’t see it myself watched again and again and to me the penalty isn’t one and the sending off well he could have given a yellow but Philips was out of control, that’s deemed dangerous so what are we appealing? Better team lost, fact. Washday are a long ball team, fact. Their style is to recruit ageing has beens. Glad I’m not a piggy
