Best player on the pitch. Won everything in the air and was the fulcrum of their attacks. Terrified us at set pieces and did a good job tell the ref and linesmen of when to blow whistle. No pace and we never really looked at exposing this.
Jennings' back on Saturday. Hemmings and Cole should add pace. But without watching it, it sounds again that we struggled at right back/right wing. I see Ryan McLaughlin played for the Liverpool kids again tonight, surely he'd rather come and play first team football? Stick Brown at centre half and get a proper attacking full back in, and get Jenno out wide. I'm really really positive. We're not exactly doing well so far if we're honest, but we've got four points from six and could/should be unbeaten if again we're being honest. Be a lot easier when our lads form a better understanding regards defending set pieces too. Night, all. You Reds.
He's a useless big lump who looks like his boots are on the wrong feet, we played to his strengths and hoofed it forward all night, the lad Webster and him were a massive threat at set pieces however, they win every header and caused mayhem
Spot on. We kept lumping it up to lita and winnall. Didn't win a single long ball. When cole came on we played it into channels and he just burnt them for pace. Johnson is an awful player. But did cause our defense all sorts of problems. Craine and nyatanga are not good enough as a partnership. Not sure who is to blame as Craine does put in some good last ditch tackles but also gets caught out of position. Both are too weak for centre backs in this league.
