2016.. what a year to be a Barnsley fan. 2 trips to Wembley. 2 wins at Wembley. Form that matches some of Europes giants. WWWWWWLWDWWWLWDWLWDWDDWWWWLWWLWWWLLDLLLWDDDLWWLWWD. Thats f*cking incredible. We've got the best midfielder outside the top flight. We've got a lad upfront who is without doubt one of the best goalscorers in the clubs history. We've plucked lads from non league who are making strikers on 30k a week draw blanks. Literally bossing them out of games. Our left back is an absolute baller. Our right backs destined for the Premier League. Our keeper..well he was a dee dar but he's certainly alright now. You cant help but love every player in this squad. Marley is like no other player I've ever seen. He's like Action Man but just really f*cking good at football. Super Josh whether he's bossing it through the middle, filling in at right back or playing on the wing will never let you down. Aidy, Arma, Big Stef, Morsy, Kent, Bradshaw.. everyone of them have played a massive part. Even Ryan Williams has been in on the act. Then theres Hammill. The scouse magician. Our player of the season. The man who in my opinion kick started everything. When he's in full flow there is no better sight. He's not finished yet. Not by a long way. We'll have another Hammill moment I know it. Special mentions also to Lloyd Isgrove, Josh Brownhill and Ashley Fletcher who are without doubt 3 of my favourite loans we've ever had. Oh and Alfie. What a player he was. Banked us 5 million quid too. I must have covered everyone now? Playing staff anyway? Wait no... Kevin Long.. George Williams.. theres probably more. Onto Hecky. One of our own. My favourite manager in the 20 seasons I've been watching BFC. What a bloke he is. He really is one of us. I couldn't imagine ever having another manager now. Hopefully he'll stay forever. Every thing about the club is just right at the minute. We owe it all to Patrick Cryne. The blokes a genius. Broke down and repaired a club in free fall to Championship playoff hopefulls in what seems like no time. He even managed to make money out of an average manager (note he hasn't got any credit). Thank you Patrick and get well soon. On a personal note it's been a pleasure (at times) to share the 2016 journey with the BBS. I feel like this is the right time to sign out. I dont enjoy it on here as much as I used to. Maybe its because theres not much to debate these days. All our players are just too good. I've always liked constructive football debate. I dont feel like I offer that anymore. A few think I'm a WUM or a bullshitter. Mostly it's just banter. But it does prevent me discussing football in the way I'd like. Anyway thats me done. I'll still be reading. But no more posting. Any PS4 FIFA 17 players add me 'redarmychris'. Roll on Forest away. Cant wait to see what 2017 has in store. Rest in Peace Rimmo Up the Reds ⚪️⚪️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Don't go mate, I enjoy your posts and when you come up with a little rumour , I always have a gut feeling that you 'are in the know'. This kind of forum needs guys like you so I hope you have a re-think. Happy New Year !!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We might have had one or 2 disagreements but that's a great post. Don't feel the need to stop posting. I've often thought about it but it's like an extended family on here that draws you in. Be a poorer place without you
That's a good post pal. Don't stop posting on here because of one bloke. If you notice he trolls one or two people disliking all their posts. For no apparent reason. Just ignore people like that. Don't always agree with what you post, but it's good to read other people's opinions
He has a history of doing this, he'll be back. People disagree with his opinion and he flounces off, it's bizarre. That would've been a cracking post to read, if it wasn't a massive flounce. He's right about this special squad/club.
Sometimes, when a post has umpteen replies and I can't be bothered to read them all, Imjust single out those that I think may be some of the more interesting ones, and this includes yours Chris. I very rarely post on here because I can't be arsed being drawn into an argument with people who rather would just argue than debate, and I've watched this happen to you many times. Your passion is doubtless, but the decision is yours. All the best pal.
Great post. Come back soon. I sometimes don't agree with you but always enjoy reading your point of view.
