Redfearn’s – FAQs

Q: What is Redfearn’s?
A: Redfearn’s is a supporters bar, run by Barnsley FC Fans, for the fans.

Q: Where is it?
A: Underneath the Ponty Road stand, entrance via Ponty End Car Park (in the past it was called Preedy’s)

Q: What will you do any profits?
A: All profits will go to good causes. 50% will go to fund the excellent work at BFC Academy to help bring on the next generation of players. 50% will go to charity via Barnsley FC Supporter's Trust

Q: What charity will you be donating to?
A: We don’t know yet but we are open to ideas, so get in touch if you have any suggestions. Suggestions from fans will always be welcome and positively received.

Q: Are children allowed in to Redfearn’s?
A: Yes absolutely. We’ll have a selection of soft drinks and snacks suitable for children

Q: Who is allowed in to Redfearn’s?
A: As part of the conditions of taking the bar it has to remain a membership only venue, you will need to be a member of Barnsley FC Supporter’s Trust. Free membership is available on the door or online. There are no other restrictions, but we will be operating a strict ‘Challenge 21’ Policy for serving alcohol, so if you’re lucky enough to look under the age of 21 make sure you have acceptable ID with you (Driving License or Passport)

Q: How do we join if we are not a member?
A: You can join at BFCST.org.uk/join/ or you can fill in a form on a matchday to gain entry. To save delays we would prefer everyone to join in advance however.

Q: Can I pay to become a full member of BFCST?
A: We would encourage all members to become paid members of Barnsley FC Supporters Trust. If you are a paid member you will receive a membership card and will be eligible for discounts over the course of the season, although we haven’t decided what this looks like so please don’t expect this on day one.

Q: How much does this cost?
A: Currently £10 for adults and £5 for children, OAPs, disabled

Q: Will guests be allowed in?
A: We expect this will be OK and will update when confirmed

Q: What beer/drinks will you sell?
A: We’ll be serving a range of lagers, bitters and ciders, alongside a selection of spirits, wine, and soft drinks. We’re hopeful all needs will be catered for but this is an evolving list so let us know when you’re in Redfearn’s what you think is missing and we’ll do our best to stock it for the following game. We’re hoping to have a range of bottles beers from within 15 miles of each of our League One rivals.

Q: How much will drinks cost?
A: We are committed to keeping drink prices to a minimum. Everyone that works at the bar will be a volunteer, so we have minimal overheads. A full price list will be published in due course.

Q: Is there food available?
A: Yes, we will be selling Percy Turner’s Pork Pies, with Mushy Peas and HP Brown Sauce/Heinz Ketchup/Mint Sauce.

Q: Can I volunteer?
A: Absolutely. We already have a dedicated set of volunteers willing to give up some time to raise money for good causes, but if you would like to help out for a couple of shifts over the season please get in touch with Hicksy on harrowtyke@gmail.com

Q: Will away fans be allowed in?
A: Only if they are affiliated with the club’s Supporters Trust and if they enquire in advance. No away fans will be admitted on the day unless as stated above.

Q: Will you be showing live football on Sky?
A: Hopefully so, if there is a football league game on. If not we will be playing music.
