Does anyone else remember this old toy shop? I remember as kids, me & little sister being taken to Redgates as part of our Christmas shopping trip. We also used to get taken to Butterfields & thought both shops were amazing! A real shame that both places went out of business & all todays generation of kids have today is Meadowhell.

Bought loads of stuff for the kids there, also John Britton's on Shambles street.

In the old days Butterfields was unrivalled, and even used to get the real Santa in the run up to Christmas. Unrivalled as a wonder store for kids at that time of year.

A whole floor full of soft toys. And most of them still live in our loft.

    Me too

Could nivver afford the top end astropitch though. :'( Had to make do with my dodgy 70s cloth pitch where the players would roll around in an arc. Usually ended up buying a 99p pack of adidas tango balls.
