BARNSLEY are being linked with Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam. Adam played against the Reds last season whilst on loan with Blackpool and, having impressed during his time with the Seasiders, was rumoured to be keen to sign a permanent deal with the club. However, Rangers are thought to value Adam at around £500,000 and the Bloomfield Road club have been unable to match that. Barnsley have now been credited with an interest in th23-year-old Scot but are believed to be facing stiff competition from Championship rivals Reading. Adam has been capped twice for Scotland and scored two goals in 13 appearances for Blackpool last season. I know this as already been on a few times but its on the Sheffield star website today. This rumour also seems to be hanging around and its a realistic one too. I would also be happy if he came because i know hes not a natural left sided left midfielder but he can play there away from home which would give us a balance with Anderson and colace in midfield and jcr on the right. At home Barnsley could play him in the middle with colace as I think he should always play and his key to the Barnsley midfield.
I was one of the few people who liked him playing in the middle up to the swansea game and you could see he was getting mad. He was looky not to get sent off against the swans
Disciplinary record in Championship doesn`t look good and I wouldn`t bank on Davey sorting that out he`s got his own problems on that subject. Goalscoring midfielder though.
yeah he should play along side colace in midfield but then what happens to anderson hes not a left hand side palyer
