Barnsley were fined £7,000 and Blues £6,000 by the Football Association after the incident on 9 April. Both clubs admitted failing to ensure their players and/or club officials conducted themselves correctly and/or refrained from provocative behaviour. Daniel Nardiello's strike gave Barnsley a 1-0 victory that day. Birmingham subsequently went on to claim promotion to the Premiership.
disgraceful - birmingham were in the wrong not us small teams getting walked all over by the big boys yet again.
There's Only........ a grand difference between the two teams and the FA have probably come to this conclusion based on the behaviour of our fans in years gone by.
It's got absolutely nothing to do with our fans It didn't involve any fans, it was the players. You say it's only a grand, but it's the principle.
RE: It's got absolutely nothing to do with our fans Yeah but it's got something to do with the general discipline of the club. There was the warning from the Huddersfield play off game when a east stand fan chucked something at a Huddersfield player and then fans running onto the pitch on a couple of occasions. FA are probably trying to make an example of us so that our club take stuff more seriously. As for the Birmingham incident, it was there fault and simply sore losers.
RE: It's got absolutely nothing to do with our fans I think that proves Jimmy Red's \ t.t's point rather than disproves it to be perfectly honest - the Birmingham fans (at least the element we're talking about) are some of the nastiest in the country. If we've got shafted 'cos of our fans then they should be getting double shafted 'cos of theirs. But they're Birmingham, and a big club, and Whiner Bruce used to play for a bigger club, and they're in the Premiership and have teddies and cots...
I hate Birmingham. I hope they go bust - total vvankers. Nastier fans that Lids, Miwwo and Kerdiff combined. Made me really happy when we beat the cnuts.
"mass confrontation" slight exaggeration. more like handbags.
We were warned about conduct at the start oflast season though, maybe thats why we got a grand more fine to pay..

Re:just emailed graham beecroft at talksport for tomorrow mornings show, because i think this absolutely stinks.
RE: There's Only........ Its 'cos this is the third time we've been up for failing to control our players, nowt to do wi fans or how big/small the teams involved are.
