He's hardly ever played and is inexperienced. Why are we giving an inexperienced keeper from another team a game? I'd have rather have given Letheren a game this saturday. Disapointing the Sorensen and Nash rumours aren't happening.

Agreed mate. Bit of a let down really. Hope he plays a blinder , so i can eat my words.
However, Muller was injured 3 weeks ago and we get a goalkeeper in 2 days before the game, that is poor. A keeper should have been in before and played at Plymouth to get to know the team.

 

But That Would Involve Common Sense

Instead we have another Warner situation of signing on thursday, travelling to team hotel on friday and playing saturday.

Isn't 41 games without a goal quite a good record for a goalie?

Seriously, if I was Letheren I'd be looking for another club. Some of the stuff Davey's said about him recently would sap the confidence of the most thick-skinned player. It sounds like he's got no hope of progressing his career with us.

 

His pride and confidence are injured ....................

I have it on good authority that he's totally gutted not to be playing, no surprise really but he'll be even more gutted now, it's one thing to be overlooked for an experienced keeper but to be overlooked for a 'rookie' from another club? It's crap in my opinion

Could take some positives out of it if there is any chance of him staying. Highly rated youngster. If its is only for the one game then it is crazy. Letheren should have been given the chance.

 

Ask me at 5pm on Saturday .............. until then .......

........ I'll trust my own judgement and stick with my opinion that we should play our own inexperienced keeper rather than one from West Brom

 

I understand what you are saying,

However how can he judge Steele assuming we have signed him , when he doesn't see him day in day out.

 

Also

who'd be on the bench if Letheran plays? At least Steele has played in the Championship 30 odd times. Maybe Sir Alex has recommended him.

Martin Taylor had played in the top league , didnt mean much.</p>

I hope the lad does well , but if its the only game he is gonna play then it seems pointless to me.</p>
