BARNSLEY are hoping Millennium Stadium big-match experience is not a trump card in Saturday's play-off final with Swansea City.
Only a couple of players in Andy Ritchie's squad have played at the Cardiff venue while Swansea were there earlier this season.
It was in the final of the Football League Trophy (formerly the LDV Vans Trophy) when they beat Carlisle United 2-1.
Barnsley left back Paul Heckingbottom was a play-off winner with Sheffield Wednesday a year ago. Right-back Bobby Hassell was a loser with Mansfield the previous season.
Said Heckingbottom: "The season has turned out to be a mirror image of the last one for me.
"We've finished fifth and in the final we're playing the team who finished sixth. It was the same last year. Wednesday were fifth and played the team who were sixth, Hartlepool.
"The build-up and the stadium are familiar to me. We seem to do well in big games, hopefully we'll do well in this one."
Former Sheffield United and Barnsley manager Nigel Spackman has made a shock return to football as the new boss at Millwall.
