    Were going up
    Were going up
    Were going
    Barnsley’s going up

Swansea thought when 2-1 was the score
They’d go on and score more
    They just knew
    They were sure
That Barnsley had gone and thrown it away
    Twenty seventh of May
But I knew on the day
    We’d win promotion

    Chorus
    Tarn crest on a shirt
    Toby Tyke is beaming
Last 4 years of League 1 football
    Never stopped me dreaming

Think about the pain when we went down
But now those sorrows are drowned
    There’s a buzz
    In the town
Now all I see is Hayes volley the ball
    Nardy beating the wall
    All four penalties scored
    And Colgan saves one

    Chorus
    Tarn crest on a shirt
    Toby Tyke is beaming
Last 4 years of League 1 football
    Never stopped me dreaming

Background commentary of both goals and penalty save over instrumental

    I get such a thrill
    It’s just like watching Brazil

    Were going up
    Were going up
    Were going
    Barnsley’s going up
    Were going up
    Were going up
    Were going
    Barnsley’s going up

    Repeat chorus to fade

Are we gonna record it as a double A-side charidee single with my 'The Tykes Are Going Up!' anthem then Coops? We could do a 50/50 split for Laura's Cystinosis charity and Geoff Thomas' leukaemia appeal.

Aye no probs. We'd probably need somebody with recording studio access 'n expertise to help us out and we might have to get publisher clearance so as not to infringe copyright (unless we used midi files not performed by the original artists?) but I reckon it could be a goer.

The other alternative would be to write and record an original tune using both sets of lyrics, we might need a bit of assistance from somebody like Roundsman on the music side of things though!

    YOU REDS!!!

It might be an idea to keep the chords simple & in a very low key mate. :pff
