BARNSLEY boss Andy Ritchie is still hopeful of resolving Nick Colgan's future at Oakwell after further discussions with the Reds Player Of The Year yesterday.

Andy, who is away on holiday in Spain, told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk this morning: "There is nothing new really at the moment although Nick has gone away to think about things after more talks.

"Hopefully we will be able to sort things out this week".

The Republic Of Ireland international joined the Reds in the summer of 2004 and has made 66 first team appearances.

Nick enjoyed a memorable campaign at Oakwell last season culminating in his historic penalty shootout save from Swansea's Alan Tate which won promotion to The Championship.
