    Good stuff

Bit more re-assured after reading parts of that. Always thought it'd be a while (ie over a week) before we started to get close to appointing someone.

These ridiculous newspaper articles are just a load of cadswallop.

Adams was just as he came to to the Preston game, Brian Kidd I don't know, Robins they got from Barry Taylor's comments as a lot of us did.

Hopefully we'll get the right man.

Sounds like they're even dismissing the "young" requirement in the last couple of paragraphs. Lets just wait and see.

Crazy thinking! Pick someone and go and get him FFS

BEFORE we lose out. Don't wait for someone like Curbs to apply - send Paddy's chopper down and roll out the red carpet for him.

It's hardly rocket science is it!

How reassurring to know Don Rowing has a leading role ...

..... FFS, like putting Kipper Jackson in charge of the wines and spirits at Asda

Apart from the Liverpool ticket problem, tell me what he's done wrong
He probably is a good man in his job, we don't know any different.

The last statement says it all in terms of how tough it will be for the new manager...

... earn the respect of the fans.

Mebbies if he put his hand into his own pocket and took everyone to Cleethorpes for the day that would help? Or perhaps a BJ on't tarn hall steps to any disgruntled fan after the game. Or free Sunday dinners round at his gaff.

'Apart from the Liverpool ticket problem' .......

..... anybody who got that wrong, to that extent should not be in a position of responsibilty at the club - 6,000 tickets available, well over 6,000 season ticket holders, so sell 'em at 2 tickets per season ticket holder, FFS, how wrong can you get summat?

PS. Ask those season ticket holders who never miss a match, home or away, and didn't get one for Anfield if he should still be working at the club in any capacity, then tell them he's a good bloke and good at his job, then take cover. I got one by the way

    Its dead easy

As long as the team look like they know what they are doing
Players playing as if they understand there role
And we win half a dozen games before Christmas he will have the respect

    simple ..

    Obvious then

that the young manager already in employment has slipped the net, so looks like they are going to deliberate on a replacement....... good news in my opinion !

Perhaps we should insist on board members who 'have the respect of the fans'

Just like the club are saying the new manager needs to have.....

Who was the LAST manager to have THAT luxury?

There is very little patience within football these days. There are bound to be people who will be unhappy with the new appointment. Lord help us if anyone is employed "on the cheap" or "without championship experience".

According to many on here, SD was "clueless", so I'll be expecting big things form the new man...

The guy you take your name after didnt do too badly

I dont recall too many being overjoyed at his appointment but he won the fans over soon enough.

Ritchie was the one I couldnt work out - got us promoted but still some fans didnt want him that did baffle me

Or at least some explanation as to why somebody ...

........ who was responsible for one of the biggest fiasco's in the club's history was appointed to the Board
