cheers fella 3 weeks for every year i've worked which is better than the legal minimum of 1 week for every year. 7 years worth isn't bad i think and at least i won't get taxed on it i don't think as it'll be below 30k
Sorry to hear about it mate. Lot of it going about. Father in law has had 90 days notice, worked at the same place for 37 years.
Bad luck mate - but keep yer chin up. It's always darkest before the dawn an all that - maybe this is meant to be. And at least with a bit of redundancy money, you have a bit of time to look around.
RE: cheers fella Well at least you have a reasonable payoff which gives you some lee-way to find something else. I was made redundant in 2001, got 1 month for every year (10 years) so I had plenty time to be able to find something - I started a better job exactly 2 months later. Good luck in finding another job.
