Why does he get bad press

Seems to be down to his clothing line

What's wrong with him setting himself up for after football

Better than going out getting pissed every weekend

Or am I missing some part of this

Wasn't Golborne into fashion too? Doesn't bother me, seems as good an industry as any for a player to have a business in. Providing he works hard at playing for bfc don't see as it matters.

What bad press has he had btw?

I'm not entirely certain what's going on in this thread. Why's he getting hammer? How is fashion involved?

Sorry if I'm being thick and should have seen something sooner.

Akinfenwa has a clothing line and everyone loves him. Frimpong has a clothing line and everyone apart from Barnsley fans love him.

Judging on this evidence I doubt he gets bad press just because he runs a clothing line.

You aren't. He hasn't had any bad press from Barnsley. He owns a clothing firm. Good luck to the lad.

    Oh right.

Nice one. Good on him I say.

Way better than listening to ex professionals bleat about how short a footballers career is.

    Well done that man.

I may have misinterpreted this slightly

On player in his interview he mentions that most people think he as the wrong attitude before actually speaking to him

Apparently LJ refused to sign him 2 years ago

I just don't see why owning a clothing brand/line gives people that impression

When you have players like Nile ranger

Might not be his clothing line that is causing trouble. In his first interview he mentioned about maturing a lot as a person and a player

I guess that thinking is, that he must not be completely dedicated to football because of his business. I was really impressed with his interview, comes across as a really intelligient bloke.

Where is he getting hammer? The 2 posts above are more in support.

How weird. Has a nerve been touched I wonder?

The OP suggested he was getting bad press, I enquired where this hammer (bad press) had come from because I didn't know.
