I'd be giving the lad a contract until June 2017. Far more accomplished than Bree at the moment and he is very good at getting forward and placing the ball in the box. I think he's the sort if full back we need to help get the ball forward more quickly and not afraid to shoot either. Looks to have the makings of a very good player at this level.

I agree with all of this. Just need another Wabara to play at the other side (Not a dig at Smith but if we're going to play with attacking full backs, then I don't think this suits Smith). It's a good job the club don't take all of your advice. However I fully agree with you on Wabara, he has earned a longer contract through playing his football, performances and fits our team style very well.
Good player & I'd like him here long term but he made it perfectly clear in an interview a while back that we're just a stop gap til he gets a championship club
I thought he said he'd prefer to be playing in a team fighting for promotion from L1 than a team fighting relegation in the Championship. Anyway, I heard that in an interview before he'd kicked a ball for Barnsley so I guess it all depends on how much he is fitting in and enjoying it. Maybe after waiting for a Championship club to come in for him last time and that not happening he won't go down the same route again.
