Anyone care to explain how their defender stayed on the pitch when he threw pinball to the floor off the ball? Or how their other player stayed on the pitch for his violent conduct on (I think) Roberts off the ball but got a yellow? Anyone also like to explain how you can boot the ball into the net from 30 yards clearly after the whistle has been blown and not get a word said to you but kick the ball after the whistle has been blown a few seconds later and get a yellow?
Welcome back to the Championship. I really do try not to complain about referees after every match but wow.. has it been shocking this season. The standard of referees needs a real looking at. Especially when some games are decided by it and sometimes final positions (Trevor Kettle and Gary Willard).
That's exactly right. It would be far more productive for everyone to think about where we fell short today rather than engage in all this sort of nonsense against folks who have an impossible job.
The problem lies when there are like for like comparisons involving the ref. A bit like the Ipswich game when yiadom was brought down in the box, no penalty. Yiadom brings someone down in very similar circumstances and they get one. Scowen gets a red for winning the ball today, the Ipswich lad gets nothing for a worse tackle in the first game. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was the same ref. This doesn't detract from the fact that we weren't at the races and that's the reason we lost.
he was not the best ref we have seen at Oakwell, but by far from the worst but that said its no use blaming a referee when the fact is that Fulham were better than us in every department, perhaps only marginally in some but never the less better. We lost to a better team its that simple. Get over it and move on, we have a team up next that on paper are way better than Fulham. Who will you blame if lose that one. But in this crazy league I will not be at all surprised if we come away with all 3 points, its that kinda league TBH this season.
