3rd time taking charge of the reds this season, and for me his worst display, epitomises by his decision to award a free kick against Cotter for a robust, but very fair challenge.
Absolutely atrocious. Inconsistent all afternoon, and got 3 key decisions wrong which arguably influenced the outcome of the game. Don't usually agree with giving extreme marks but was leaning towards a 1. In the end went for 2 as objectively the advantage he played for Blackpool's first was an excellent bit of reffing. About the only decent thing he did all afternoon. Utterly wnak ref, worst of the season for me.
He was dreadful. I thought they should have had a penalty when Roberts upended their player after some calamitous defending
I'd forgotten about that, but you're absolutely right. Looked nearly as blatant as the push on Cotter!
Joke. Booked Kane 5 mins after letting their lad off for similar and booting ball away in same incident. Cotter non pen. Roberts non pen. Has anyone explained the Jalo "goal"? Clearly he signalled handball but was that after the initial header or before? If before I don't see it, if after did ball not go over the line. Jalo pen at end I've seen given. Only 6 mins at end nonsense when 3 goals, heaps of subs and time wasting. Worst of season for me.
Should have booked their player for a blatant foul after about 8 minutes and then showed no consistency by booking our player for similar. Gave far too many soft free kicks. Penalised Cotter for a fantastic challenge. Allowed the Blackpool keeper to time waste too much.
Given him a generous 3 but he was poor for the reasons most have said above. Only key discussion in our favour was not giving Blackpool a one after the Roberts fumble though most refs would have given the foul on Roberts Regarding the disallowed goal the handball was after the Keeper saved the ball behind the line (not seen a definitive view though but it looked in from the best one I’ve seen)
