I see, the same old story of "punishing" a top-flight referee's poor performance by relegating him to the Championship. We can be the guinea pigs to see if he can perform any better. Great.
Slight change in theme to this thread, but............. we had 25 cms at the weekend, some of which is still around in the city but the mountains have had a lot for this time of year. So, we have a great base for the ski season - we might even go out on Sunday, which will be about a month earlier than we have ever been out for before.
I thought I'd ask before I forgot I saw a few pictures the Mother had put on Facebook, I'm glad I missed it when I was over last month!
I spent most of my time up in Banff, it was a very short trip(6 days). Hoping to come over for longer in the summer
Which is interesting in that he was the referee the last time we played Donny at home in the league - hope it's the same outcome!
Plenty of free kicks and penaltys on Saturday then, still bet we're not practicing free kicks in training this morning though, and i bet De Zeuw defended last corner to be taken on training ground
To be fair, Kevin Friend hasn't generally been a bad referee for us in the past. I remember him giving us a pretty soft penalty at Oakwell a couple if years ago. I was half expecting you to say Uriah Rennie. My mum and dad saw him at Owlerton stadium the same day he sent Austin and Kay off at Oakwell, my dads usually a mild mannered person, but he almost spoilt his manners that night.
I don't really see any issues with prem refs who have had a shocker being allocated our game- surely he's out to have a belter as the assessors will be watching him like a hawk?
I think you're right. I'm not one of these ref geeks that remember all past games of refs and who they gave cards to but I think two games ago for us he was poor, then we got him again and were thinking of his past match yet he was good for us.
