I haven't seen it mentioned yet but it probably has.
Thought he was a quality ref, great positioning and decision making especially. The players seemed to respect him too. He was a class above what we've had for a long time, wish we could have that standard every week.

Was it Andre Marriner? That's what I heard.

    it was clattenberg

I don't think i got the spelling right there somehow.

I thought he was awful. Can't give a ref a good rating that completely bottled the big decision of sending Eckersley off. He also kept giving them fouls in their box when there was nothing wrong such as when the keeper fouled darren moore and then he booked foster for nothing and proceded to let them get away with much worse

Right cheers. Well we will have to agree to disagree with this one but I thought he was really good and fair. Yes, we are all going to disagree with a few decisions but that's what fans do.

No he didn't bottle it !!!

It was bloody good referreeing. Two yellows may equal a sending off according to the rules, but often over zealous refereeing sees 2 soft yellows sending someone off when it was not warranted.

Best ref we have had in light years.

I'm not a fan of Premiership refs

owing to their tendency to be arrogant, ignorant and biased.

However I thought that Mr Clattenburg was outstanding last night and gave us the best refereeing performance at Oakwell for many a year.

    Apart from booking Fozzy! :D

    think you're way off there

I don't normally comment on refs, well not positive anyway, but yesterday i thought he gave us much more than them. I felt we got the benefit of the doubt whereas they didn't on some occasions. We are due it though!!!

With respect to Eckersley i thought he got it spot on, would have been harsh to send him off i think, did the right thing and felt that a tickle would have seen him go after that, hence the sub.

Thought his positioning was great and clearly fitter than any pub league ref we normally get. Made decisions very fast, and also explained them with actions for the crouds benefit, all in all one of the best displays i've seen.

I'm no ref lover but compared to the rubbish we normally get I think having a go at him for last nights performance is harsh.
