Booked 3 of our players and none of Everton's. There were at least 2 lunges by Everton players in the 2nd half with the studs showing which had they caught our player could have been very nasty - isn't that a yellow card any more?
Strange one. Because a few times I thought the ref got it wrong. Watkins especially. Kicked the ball away. That was a yellow. And to be fair that was a cynical foul and definate penalty when he took out there winger in the 2nd half. We've had worse refs and we've certainly had better.
It looked a pen to me as well but then again I was over 100 yards away.... by the way its "DEFINITE".
To be honest spelling ain't my best attribute. And I'm not really fussed. If you really want to be picky. You will notice. I avoid in any way possible in using their and there. I just can't do it (no matter how anyone explains it) So keep an eye out for that one (presuming it's correct above) *sticks tongue out*
The same when Mirralles went down in the box if it wasn't a penalty why didn't he get booked for diving?
Because it was a fair shoulder to shoulder challenge but Scowen was the stronger, It wasn't a pen and I didn't think it was a booking either. I did think we were very lucky not to have a pen given against us for the challenge in the second half though the Ref got that one wrong and in our favour. Ref wasnt perfect by any means but we get many more worse than him than we do better
I thought the ref was poor too, but it's the inconsistency that annoys me.mbooking Winnall, but then ignoring an identical foul at the other end. The one that annoyed me was when he walked ten yards out before Hourihane's free kick at the Ponty End. He clearly went two yards beyond the Everton wall and told them to move back. When they didn't he simply walked back and drew the line in front of where they were standing. The free kick then went into the wall. Spineless.
That's what got me more than any other decision. Besic committed exactly the same foul within 5 minutes. Winnall booked, Besic not. The commentator also hacked me off too early on. When we scored he said it was against the run of play - up to that point we'd had just as much play as they had.
The guys reaction to that little bit of shoulder rubbing epitomised everything wrong with the premier league. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Because he didn't dive. Bloody hell its not black and white, either penalty or dive. Quite a lot of the time it's just play on. Strong shoulder to shoulder challenge, no foul, but knocked him over. It's allowed in a contact sport, no pen, but it would be a tad harsh to book him when he was shoved to the floor!
