Just watching the Championship highlights Sheff U goalkeeper deliberately handles ball outside the area to prevent a clear goal scoring oppertunity. just a yellow card. Straight red the only option ...hows that work then? Be interested in Colins views on that one
But then again a more blantant penalty than the one he didnt give the blunts you will never see either great post match interview with Warnock
No he didnt he did accuse the ref of being no good though - with some justification. LOL at his comment about not having a prem ref though. "Why did we get a football league ref and not a prem one for an important match like this..." errr that will because it was a football league game and not a premiership one Colin In all credit to the ref he did come on and explain his decisions - he was still wrong though (Both Managers agreed that he got the 2 big decisions wrong)
RE: No he didnt He did yesterday apparently he was at his embarrassing best on the pitch in the refs face at the end of the game.Heard him on p&g moaning about a decision that did'nt go their way and when it was pointed out that Kenny should have been sent off he agreed and then said that had nothing to do with it really.
That's what I thought. However, the defender (who headed it towards to goalie) was IN FRONT of the striker. Had Kenny let the ball go past, the defender would still have beaten the striker to the ball. I think that was the referees "logic". The ref also stated that the goalie was "dis-orientated". Whatever that means. Plenty of incident in the game. Sheffield should have had a penalty when Gillespie (?) was upended in the box. Also, Quinn was booke din the second half. He deliberately handled in the second half. Should have walked. Warnock accused the ref of "levelling things up".
