sorry in advance if I've missed it but does anyone have a copy of the report from the referee relating to Morgans booking and what exactly he saw and what specifically he was booked for
sorry I missed this from my phone call After I suggested it he agreed that they could very easily by put on the net after games and would help clear up a lot of confusion with certain incidents where we aren't sure whether something has been seen or not or whether or not the ref has blatently lied about what happened (like when a penalty is given for handball but the player not booked. An handball can only be given if it is deliberate and then it HAS to be a yellow card). He said this will be a suggestion he will definetly pass on and push to get implemented as quickly as possible.
RE: sorry I missed this from my phone call at last the fa might be doing something for the public who pay their wages. Was the report regarding the Hume incident addressed
No, I meant to ask what the referee had booked him for but I forgot. The call did last over 20 minutes though.
No problem fantastic that you took the time to speak with the FA. I've emailed a request and put it under the freedom of info I'll let you Know if I get anything back
I have advocated for several years now, that we should take something from American Football. ie the referee or what ever they call him, has to inform the the crowd the reason for all decisions taken during the game and at the same time indicating the punishment meted out. Our referees should also do this, it would take a lot of the inconsistencies out of the game and make referees think about their decisions more. I think in recent times this has also happend in Rugby Union, since their referees have been "miked up" it makes the crowd more aware of what is going on.
There isnt much that goes on them, have a look For a sample of a misconduct report got to the West Riding County F.A website (www.wrcf.com), click the link to referees from the tab at the top and then from the menu on the left the very bottom one is forms, click that. You then get the multi caution report form which is used for all levels of football. Granted, the Football League will have a seperate report which will detail information on the game in general which is submitted along with the teamsheets. These other forms dont go into much more detail unless the referee wants to add anything specific.
Take a wild guess The local F.A referees guy got in touch with me and the fixture secretary who gives me games. They were both good chats to be fair, they tried to persuade me not to give up but said they understand where I'm coming from. A couple of things got me thinking and I said I'll not do a game this week but I'd talk to them again next week. Noteably, they didnt want local football to suffer and reiterated the fact that without refs theres no football. Now that cant happen!! Nothing from the big guns though.
Data Protection Act has provision that a person can have access to info that an organisiation holds about them providing it is a written request. Therefore, if Hume is mentioned in the referrees report, perhaps he could request this info. (dunno)
