WEST Ham have ruled out a return to Barnsley for winger Kyel Reid. The Premiership club will not permit a second spell on loan at Oakwell. Reid is being kept at Upton Park for the time being and if allowed out on loan after the season begins they have stipulated that the 19-year-old goes to a club close to London. Barnsley are looking to recruit another wide player before Saturday's Championship campaign opener against Coventry. The club are delaying their official photo call until Thursday morning expecting to have two, possibly three, new recruits by then. As well as a winger, Barnsley are understood to be chasing another striker. According to reports from Norway, Barnsley target goalkeeper Heinz Muller played his last match for Lillestrom last night. A fee between the clubs has been agreed and the German will be at Oakwell by Thursday and available for Saturday. Barnsley defender Bobby Hassell has been ruled out of the fixture against Coventry. He broke down in training with a knee injury and has been ordered to rest completely for two weeks. The 27-year-old has missed virtually all pre-season training. Coventry boss Iain Dowie has confirmed that former Barnsley defender Arjan De Zeeuw will be his club captain for the forthcoming season. The Dutchman is recovering from a knee injury and he will not be available for Saturday's game at Oakwell.
