...all formatted and never run as fast!

Which Anti-Virus software should I be downloading - AVG? If so where can I get it?

    What? Reformat?

Assuming Win2k or XP, put in your Windows CD and set the boot sequence in BIOS to boot from CD.
To start from scratch, delete the whole partition with Windows on and recreat it. Then follow the onscreen prompts to reinstall Windows.  You'll need your serial no. handy and will lose all documents (unless backed up beforehand) and installed programs will go too.

    Load of ballache!

Process itsen was pretty simple its just my PC was/is **** so took ages and kept freezing.

Just pop in your Windows disc (mines XP) and it will give you the option of installing windows or repair it. Select install then format whichever drive you wish (and partition it if you want) and let the disc do the rest.

    Amen.

    DUDE!

I can see your on telewest so you should be eligable to use their AV product PCGuard. Just go to their website and download and it does it all for ya! i stuck it on for my mum and it seems ok - got antispyware etc too. And best of all its FREEEEEEEEEEEEE. You need to be on TW & broadband complete i think but try it - can only say no. Much better than the free packages out there and PC runs faster with it than Panda AV too!
