I sincerely hope that their release is Davey setting the bar for ability higher than last season, and the squad is now going to be augmented by proven quality, no gambling on if, but and maybes, players that ARE good enough.

I hope so,

I have no trouble with the players that are released , I only hope that the quality of plyer we sign is better than this season.</p>

A back 4 including Reid , Atkinson and the Potter kid doesnt look too rosy at the moment.</p>

Lots of triallists and Pre-season games should be the order of the day.</p>

Well done Simon Davey, no pussy footing around and if there not good enough there gone. </p>

Kay apart none of them are good enough for the championship and Kay himself has continuously broken club rules so he has to go. </p>

Lets hope he brings in some better quality players now and then we can move on to the next level.</p>

provides very good backup, especially if they were going to let Tonge go.

The rest I can understand, people always say we have no strength in depth but none of them really add to that.

With regard to Kay, I always thought he was a good player, but that makes me think that we must have a replacement lined up. He has brought this on himself by misbehaving, even if he is not particularly fond of Davey he is a professional footballer and should be able to control himself.

Have to admit....

I'm pleased with most of those. Would have kept Kay (Dependant on the exact details of his discipline behind the scenes)</p>

Must also admit...surprised with no Hayes on that list. Wonder whats going on there.</p>

 

I reckon Austin has gone

for oneof 2 reasons. either a) Davey has a better option lined up or B) he's part of the 'drinking' ring with Kay and Ricco.

i would like to say a big thank you to Kay, Tonge and Ricco. all played there part in where we are today

Kay can do a job, so can Austin and I thought Tonge was excellent whenever he played for us.
