Probably a bit optimistic but i guess we have to be.

My points estimate for remaining games:

    3 Hudds A
    1 forest H
    0 leicester H
    1 watford A
    3 afcb H
    0 reading A
    3 yeovil A
    0 brighton H
    0 burnley H
    1 bolton A
    3 charlton A
    3 leeds H
    0 derby A
    0 boro A
    1 qpr H

    19 points
    Total = 45

Squeaky bum time as i think i've gone with my heart over head on a couple of those! Wonder what points will be required this year????

I think we need at least 5 wins though looking at what we have got left.

Annoying when you think of the stupid points we have dropped over the last few weeks.

Total = 45 but I am not confident - I am sure we will get 1 away win just not really sure which game but Yeovil is as good a guess as any only got 3 more home wins - need at least one more and preferably 2

    15 wins

Might sneak into final playoff position
Beat QPR in play off final

Then it'll all go tits up.

Oh dear, either I am a deluded pessimist (which I hope I am) or we are done for.

    13 in total

The problem for me is our total inability to score more than 2 goals. If you study the form of the teams we have to play, many of them score at least one per game home and away. I just don't see us scoring often enough to turn matches into three points.
Sorry everyone, I just can't see an escape, well not on based on winning football games anyway.

Its just possible, that three other teams will perform so badly that we escape, or, a team is relegated for financial issues of whatever kind. Clutching at straws here.

In a mini league we only have to better 3 other teams may depend on motivation of teams played in last month of season. Saturdays result gives us a chance though.

Admire your optimism mate, but i'll be stunned if we only lose 3 more games before the end of the season. At the same time I don't think it will need more than 44-45 points, so if we can get wins against Yeovil and Charlton plus a couple of big performances at home then we could stand a chance.

Reading this thread, it's not looking great is it? Nivver mind.

Charlton look to have got it together a bit last couple fo games so cant assume they will be a guaranteed 3 points. Just wish we could have played them the week we were supposed to. I remember been so sure we were going to get 3 points that day... oh well.

Its funny how we have managed just 5 wins in 31 games yet we are all predicting we are going to suddenly double our win ratio over the last 15.

    hmmmmm

I think its going to be an uphill struggle aint it.

Just 12pts there for me at the moment. We're going to have start playing better. I think if we can put in good performances against Forest and Leicester, take some points, then that could really help spur us on.

Depends what form the opposition are in when we play em, plus odd one may have nowt to play for and QPR could be sitting comfortably in a play off place and not risking players to injuries.

Updated my estimate and 2 points behind.

Although im now hopeful our last few games may go slightly better.

Currently on 35 points and that would have us in 49 and safe i reckon.

Next 4 games may make or break us.

I think 7 points from the next 4 games would be enough so long as we beat Charlton amongst that 7!
Fingers crossed leeds do something against Charlton tomorrow as well.
