Remember that. A mate had a bet on that we would score at anytime in the game, his face when that went in.

Was the 1st penalty shoot out I had witnessed as well.

The coppers reaction is ace when he ducks thinking the ball is coming for him.

I remember been at the game with my dad as a 12 year old, and watching the highlights the following day that my Dad had taped over and over again for Archys goal and Mark Robinson scoring the winning penalty.

    Happy days

was that the 1 where a limping Dave Currie, cool as always, just chipped the ball in straight down the middle, soft as you like and Poole and already moved?

check out the packed ground too, days when the FA cup meant something, happy days :)

How great did Oakwell look with terracing and packed to the rafters??

Also did the East Stand open the beggining of the following season?, because the quick glance you get during the footage shows it as build but empty

I think I am right in saying that it opened a matter of days or weeks after that game because it opened mid season and people had the option of moving their season ticket over to the new stand.

It definately opned mid-season. I didn't have a season ticket ut my mate did and he moved from Ponty to try it....most of the time he was up there y himself as we cntinued going in the Ponty.

They put the cameras for this game in the empty, still being built, East Stand

One of my favourite commentaries..."is that a good equaliser... or is that a good equaliser"

And lovely to nostalgicly look back on Mad Mel's numbering system. Centre half '10' and striker '5'... bonkers!!!!

Wow, that brings back memories! That was my first date with my now husband of 12 years! Yup, I dragged my Oldham-supporting new boyfriend from Manchester to Oakwell to stand in the Ponty end. Beats going out for a meal or going to the pictures.

Remember going to the first tie....finished 2-2. We got there at half time after coach broke down on motorway between Loughborough and Leicester. Remember everybody legging it on hard shoulder and scrambling up a grass banking to a pub. From there we rang for a taxi. We got to Filbert Street and found we were leading 2-0.
Two cracking goals back at Oakwell though. Don't usually applaud 'away' goals but must admit i did with Joachim's. At the time Blackadder scored his...i was thinking that must have been equally if not better than Joachim's. Great tie and great atmosphere. Good to see a packed standing crowd on the footage
