A few people assumed that it was merely an old planning application that had somehow only just appeared on the council's site. Well it wasnt and it was approved in April. How has this not been posted on here before? Or has it and I just didn't see it?
There wouldn't be any reduction in car parking spaces as they plan to build a new carpark at the side of the academy between the academy pitches and the brewery. The problem with that is that the exit road for the new car park is via the already conjested and dangerous beaver court (which is actually the emergency access to the ground). I'm not sure if there is any benefit to the club as it isn't their land
It will only move it 100 yards to the right, straight opposite riding for the disabled and will make it an absolute nightmare to get out of either carpark I would have thought. I wonder how much reduction in rent the club will get due to having a lot of land taken off it by the landlord
Can't blame the council..They've waited 10 years for the population to support the club...they've obviously run out of patience.
how would 20,000 people turning up every week have helped the council out? And don't forget that PC half owns that land too and that they haven't actually waited 10 years, they first made inroads into building houses on the car park years ago
