Can remember Danny Welbeck scoring their only goal thanks to a shoddy backpass by big Daz Moore. How times have changed, that was a quality finish tonight.
Don't forget the opener he scored against us when we lost 2-0 to Man Utd in the league cup other season.
If that finish was from Messi It would be shown over and over again and voted as best goal of the tournament.
Was it deliberate or did he just mis-control it ? Watching the replays I couldnt decide if it was intentional or if he was trying to control it and it just flicked in - if it was done deliberately it will take some beating as best finish in the tournament
Re: Was it deliberate or did he just mis-control it ? I thought he was tryin to control it, still not convinced.
Re: Was it deliberate or did he just mis-control it ? there's absolutely no way it was intentional. he will say it was, sure, but he was clearly trying to cushion the pass before swivelling and smashing home.
Don't understand the fuss about Welbeck's goal. It looked nice enough, but it seemed to be more luck than judgement to me. Andy Carroll's was the quality goal. That lad can head it harder than most of us can kick it. One of the best headed goals I've seen.
Probably one of the most memerable away days for me that jay rodriguez (or watever) scored on his first touch n De Silva scored a beauty aswell who would have thort Rodriguez would have been going for just short of 10 mill n welbeck playing for england.....
