Chris Morgan Thank you for contacting The Football Association. The Football Association receives frequent correspondence on decisions and incidents across all levels of Football. Every supporter will have an opinion on the game's major talking points and we're a;ways interested to hear them. With regards to the recent incident involving Chris Morgan, this investigation is still ongoing. We do appreciate all the feedback we receive from supporters. This feedback is collated and used to build a picture of public opinion and is subsequently fed back internally within the organisation. Please rest assured your suggestions will form part of this feedback process. Thank you again for getting in touch. It is good to know that the investigation is still ongoing, but what more there can be to investigate I really dont know.
They're dragging their heels - they should have stepped in straight away They charged Drogba quickly enough and Davey for that matter
The FA can and should investigate the whole nature of this game It wasn't by accident that Ehiogu and then Morgan were involved in violent incidents Barnsley Football Club (privatly) insist that Sheffield United came with a GAME PLAN to rough up the Barnsley players And that game plan worked So where should the finger of blame be pointed..........I for one dont think it should be solely at Morgan In other words.................Morgan was only following orders (although he went a bit too far)
The FA, 25 Soho Square, London. W1D 4FA. But they did put their e-mail on which I hadn't been able to find before - info@theFA.com
RE: They're dragging their heels - they should have stepped in straight away you're right. despite the obvious evidence nothind more will happen. morgan meant to deliberately elbow hume, of that there is no doubt, but it does happen a lot in football and by the fa stepping in now they would set a precedent, which would increase their work. now i think that ridding the games of such cowardly agressive acts would be a good thing, but we're expecting the fa, referees and the game to change in a big way and i just can't see that happening. they will no doubt conclude that he should have been sent off, the referee got it wrong, but as he had already issued the yellow card they can't overturn it. they'll make some noise about players needing to stop doing such things and then that will be that. oh, apart from every time the referee thinks that an elbow has been used they'll go straight for the red card. this will continue up to the point that video evidence shows that a man united player shouldn't have been sent off cos the opponent dived and then everything will go back to just the way it is. ironic isn't it though, that if the ref hadn't booked morgan he would now be in the middle of a 3 game ban!
I didn't make any suggestions! Just shows that the junior who had the job of editing the stock letter to include the Chris Morgan heading and middle one line paragraph wasn't told to edit the rest so that it actually made sense as a reply to my letter.
