Were untrue. A premiership side was interested but as we are the second club he has played for in a year he wouldnt have been able to play for them until next season. Suprisingly they lost interest.

not strictly true according to this

We are the only team that he has played for that plays a 2007/2008 season, he was playing in the Norwegian league before us that were still in their 2007 season I believe (started in april, ended in november?)

    From FIFA's rules regarding this:

Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs.

"As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in official matches for a third club during the relevant season provided he has fully complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs."

As far as I am aware muller complied with his contractual obligations at Lillestrom and we simply bought him from them.
