5-0 to York it was Barnsleys academy minus Butterfield v York youth team (a couple of first teamers played for York Sodge and Evans the keeper) Barnsley got battered and if it werent for the Barnsley keeper it would have been 10-0,it was shocking.

oh my god. how much does our academy cost us each year? youth against youth we got mullered. Does anyone know who that goalie was?? absolute shocker.
The u16s and 15s Barnsley Academy team look to have some promising kids but when I have watched the older lads they look poor.
What hope is there for them when the first team is crammed with foreign players. They will reach a certain standard and get shipped out to lower division/non league clubs.
goalie saved a couple from highlights. but let in 2 shockers and 2 a good keeps would have got down too. rather our first team is full of Heinz mullers than keepers of that standard
If the players are good enough Then they'll become first team regulars. If not, then they should be shipped out. The foreign players we have are better than the local lads they replaced. The likes of Pat Howard, Mick McCarthy and David Hirst were selected for the first team because they were talented young lads and better than the players who's position they took. It was not because they came from Dodworth, Worsbrough and Cudworth.
