i wrote a email to say its appauling over how many we got ect ect... here is the response.. We would just like to confirm that Liverpool Football Club spoke with Barnsley once the fixture was known. Barnsley FC requested the maximum allocation of tickets under the FA regulations. This allocation is the whole of the Lower Tier of the Anfield Road and the allocation cannot be increased. Liverpool Football Club has no control with regard to the selling of this allocation which was determined by Barnsley FC.
They didn't really answer your question there mate... ...all they told you is that Barnsley decided who got the tickets, not why they couldn't release any more. I'm guessing that loads of people have emailed em and they are just cut and pasting the previous replies.
Have you got the email you sent them? How is it unfair regarding how many tickets we got? 6,000 is more than we get at nearly every other ground we visit, and is more than most Prem teams get at Anfield.
RE: They didn't really answer your question there mate... They said they gave us the maximum under FA rules......given segregation requirement, to give us more would probably mean the same amount again and their first priority is to their fans
Liverpool have a "cup scheme" Where if you attend the home matches you can apply for a ticket for the final so I doubt there'll be many empty seats at all.
RE: It will be disappointing if there are empty seats in the Liverpool end... They will save there stubs for next round if they win. So I dont think they will.
Why did you feel the need to email them in the first place? Because you didn't get a ticket? We got more than enough tickets, the club just didn't dish them out properly, **** all to do with the Scousers.
RE: Why did you feel the need to email them in the first place? well no it wasnt its the f.a's fault, but if liverpool who decided to give us 6,000 then it would have been thier's that non league side they played sold out and they got 6,000 and u expect a town team in the championship to dish 6,000 tickets out fairly when they have more then that number of season ticket holders? obviusly it is barnsleys fault because of the whole 2 per season ticket holder idea if it was 1 per season ticket holder then the tickets would have been sold more fairly
RE: Why did you feel the need to email them in the first place? Haven't you got over the fact you didn't get a ticket yet? The top and bottom of it is that the people moaning about the ticketing system for the liverpool game are people who didn't get tickets. Admit it, if you would have gotten tickets you wouldn't give a flying.... would you? It future get up earlier and get in the que!!
RE: Why did you feel the need to email them in the first place? unfortunately those that had to go to work or live to far away just to drop everything or didnt have an OAP to stick in a queue all day lost out to those who every other day of the week don't have to bother getting out of bed. OK, a generalisation, but you started it.
That would be queue then! Not everyoine was able to queue on Monday, work etc. But I agree that its time to let it go.
