I can't see why he would mind me posting this, so here goes...

    Allen
I got your email this morning and I have investigated the matter with the people
    in our box office.

I really cannot understand it because they categorically 1000% deny that
this incident has happened. The only time that proof of age is request is
when purchasing a season ticket and that is for obvious reasons.

If a match day ticket is being purchased, no proof of age is requested, and
they categorically assure me that this incident did not happen, I believe
    them.

Perhaps if the person who made the accusation will write to me (not email)
with his name and address clearly stated on the letterhead then I will
contact him and invite him in to discus the matter.

Glad of the 3 points last Saturday!
    Best wishes
    Gordon Shepherd

I think that's the way to look at it mate. If he's been told categorically by his staff that it didn't happen, it wouldn't look very good if he came out and doubted them. He's in a no-win situation here, and I think offering to see the person involved to discuss it is the right thing to do.

No doubt some people will criticise him as that's their way, but I don't think he can do any more than that without evidence that only the person involved can come up with.

He'll have to identify the member of staff... short of that nothing can happen.

The thing is, do they all work full time in there? What if the person who did it isn't working today?
