From Fulford? You'll know Millers chippie then... Top place. I went to university in York and Millers is my one abiding memory.
Little Italy, just around the corner next to Goodramgate Bar, spanks it. Best Italian restaurant in York. Well, 'spanks it' might be a bit strong because La Piazza is very good too. Just avoid 'Caesars' in between the two - because it is nowhere near either.
Tandoori Nights on Bootham is a very good indian and there is a car park just round the corner. Little Italy on Goodramgate (near the bar) very good italian (my favourite restaurant in York). Mount Royale on the Mount. Quite posh, expensive, but very good.
Had my wedding meal in La Piazza And off there after the Sheff Wed game. I'll have to try Little Italy some time, if I can tear myself away from the tried and trusted. Never had a bad meal in La Piazza and we're always made very welcome (mind you, it was dinner for 60 so I did leave the biggest tip of my life).
Plunketts cant remember the street but all of 50 yards from the used to do the best fajitas and gourmet burgers I've ever had
