SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 1 (Collins 4) BARNSLEY 3 (Nix 6, Nardiello 30, Joynes 71) KYLE Nix, Daniel Nardiello and Nathan Joynes bagged the goals as the Reds came from behind to take all three points from a tough South Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough. The Reds started the game badly and were behind inside four minutes when Patrick Collins rose highest to head past Andy Naylor. Wednesday's lead lasted just two minutes as Sheffield United youngster Nix, currently on trial at Oakwell, fired home from 12 yards. It got even better for the Reds on the half hour mark as Nardiello turned well in the area before planting a low shot into the bottom corner. Joynes grabbed Barnsley's third on 71 minutes as he managed to get his head to Anthony McParland's pin point cross and put his effort past Ben Kirby. SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY: Kirby; Collins (McAuley 68), Broadbent, McMenamin, Jones (Fores-Chambers 45); White, McAllister, Folly, Thorpe; Best (Manzizila 61), Jordan. Subs: O'Donnell, Ellis.
