It seems there are a couple on here with differing views of what to do regarding the terrorist atrocitys,if your government was in power now, what would you expect them to do or want them to do.
How would you expect the security services to follow up on leads regarding known extemists without criminal records
Do you think that we can expect more terrorist activity in Britain
This about what you can do now would Corbyn be your man or maybe David Cumbum
What do you want, come on speak up,

I would want my Govt to do all it could to put an end to these atrocities ASAP, By that, I don!t mean either bombing to oblivion or the polar opposite a sucking up to terrorist. At some point their will have to be dialogue, there always is. It was interesting to hear the views of the French journalist who was released a little while ago, when asked about the French bombings today. Basically he said it will make things worse and dialogue will have to take place.

No, but the IRA and I've read theTaliban, are examples where it was previously thought dialogue wouldn't/couldn't happen. Military action and bombs can destroy a place, but it can't destroy an ideology, particularly one held by such extremists.

Terrorists and suicide forces are an unbeatable army. They have no fear of death. I really do not know how we can defeat this poison.

Bombing IS in Syria 'is not the solution', former captive of the group tells ITV News
A French journalist who was held hostage by so-called Islamic State has warned that bombing Syria in response to the attacks on Paris will only lead to further attacks.

Nicolas Hénin, who was held captive by the group in Syria for nearly a year, told ITV News that no lessons had been learned from previous attacks.

To be fair there's a lot more of us than them. They would run out of people quicker than we would. There's about 50,000 of them apparently. That's **** all. Finding them is the problem.

I agree with other posts though. There is absolutely no middle ground with this lot. None. To them, anyone who isn't one of them is the enemy and deserves to die. There's nowhere to go from there.

They need destroying. Root and branch. No other way. Then you can start to get to work on the vulnerable disillusioned kids in bedrooms.

Maybe if we didn't meddle with them in the first place we wouldn't be a target, but of course we need their oil, and a destabilised middle-east is the cheapest way to get it, seeing as the West more or less controls it.

Bit of a coincidence how the Russian's get involved (actually invited by Syria), more of a competitor than an enemy, and all of a sudden there's an attack on the West to get public support for a bigger bombing campaign.

The hard truth is, to destroy ISIS, you are going to end up with A LOT of collateral damage and to a large extent we cannot accept that and rightly so which is why the thing is so drawn out.

That being said, don't believe everything you see on the BBC.

In my opinion the only way to defeat the *******s is to fight as hard as them if not harder, we can't back down after the last 10 years attacks.....in a ideal world we'd all get on by and by but the fact of reality is we don't and to stop them many innocent people will die....not good and not what we/I want to see but that's the cruel hard facts of this fight! You can't even put these in the same bracket as the IRA.....ISIS make the IRA look like a bully in classroom, these are psychotic evil *******s who find it normal and acceptable to cut people heads off!

Do I want the uk to get involved?? No

Will the uk get involved?? Yes I think they will resulting in many more family's torn apart by deaths on the front line

One way of attaining nuclear prolification by using all the so called outdated trident subs...

Seriously though.. I can't see a realistic answer or end to this...
One thing we need to do though across Europe immediately is to halt this freedom of movement to ensure all countries adopt proper border controls. We then have to deal with the fanatics that have already embedded themselves in the country.
