Ihaven't been online for a few days so this may be old news, but a mate of mine just sent me this link: http://www.redcafe.net/f9/reuben-noble-lazarus-training-us-244837/perhaps this is why the club wrote on their official website that **** about the fans not believing in his ability...or whatever it was they put (apols if that's misleading, I'm in a rush).

The article was on Barnsleyone mate.

Mark Stokes tells us how much they appreciate RNL's talent at Man Utd and contrasts it with the lack of interestshown"from the Barnsley fan base." Apparently he came to this conclusion after reading comments on this board that suggested Davey's fielding of Reuben had more to do with him trying to deflect attention from his own shortcomings than appreciation of emerging talent. The fact that we've only seen a few minutes of RNL because Davey only played him that once and hasn't seen fit to do so since appears not to figure in Stoke's perception of the situation.

Following much umbrage on this board regarding Stoke's clumsy and disingenuous article Patrick Cryne was quick to distance himself from Barnsleyone with this message posted by City Tyke -

Mr Cryne has pointed out to me that Mark Stokes isn't employed by Barnsley Football Club or himself.

Furthermore, he is not a close personal friend of Patrick's or indeed a friend, because he does not know him except in passing. Mark's website is independent of the club and Patrick and the club do not exercise control over its content.

Mark does spend a lot of time at Oakwell because what happens at the club appears to constitute 95% of the content in his site.

The site is ingratiating towards the club, presumably because it's in his own interests to do this.

It has since emerged that Stokes has a desk within the offices of Oakwell. Furthermore questions have been raised regarding Stokes' access in certain areas and to certain informationand the funding source of, what appears to be, a site with no income. This from Super Tyke -

How he can afford to have a website, presumably pay for office space at oakwell (presumably), pay for an advertising board at oakwell, pay for professional photographers to take promotional pictures of the barnsley kits etc, pay for travel to all barnsley games, pay for professional photographers take dozens of photographs of championship games and even internationals in malta. Pay for the rights to publish those photos on the internet. Pay for the rights for fixtures to be placed on his website. Pay for access to the press office for his live text commentary features at all barnsley games and an international match, presumably pay for the rights to publish these on the internet during games?

And all from a totally independent website without any advertising revenue?

Of course, as with the AFC Barnsley mystery, no-one really expects any answers.
