We're now averaging a point per game, so looking at 46 points.

Majority of our points came on a 8 game run (13).

Prior to that we had 7 from 8

Our latest run is 0 from 4.

I actually thought that during that little run of wins and draws that we'd become hard to beat, but that idea has been blown out of the water over the last 4 games, in all of which we've not managed to score in open play - given the poor quality of opposing defending yesterday, that's worrying.

I'm always hopeful, but I don't expect anything but a relegation scrap from now until the end of the season. I think we'll do well to get 50 points.

Joke start of season I said 50. 3 weeks ago I said mid 50s. I'd take somewhere in between. Going to be hard work though.

I'll give an arse-splintering "depends on what we do in January" answer.

Here's hoping we're geared up and ready to go with the majority of our business in the first week. Early indications as to whether we are will come for me in relation to Yiadom (if he's off, get him out on Jan 1), McBurnie (if he's coming, get him in on Jan 1) and Ugbo and Gardner (who need to be sent back on Jan 1). Decisions should also have been made on long-term/persistent injuries, Cavare, Isgrave etc and whether replacements are needed. No reason either to have not come to a final decision on whether Townsend is a serious alternative to Davies and be prepared to act if the conclusion is that he isn't.

If we can then add/replace sufficiently to the squad so that we can play a pressing 4-4-2 and keep a few clean sheets now and again, mid-50s. If not, mid-40s, at best.

I actually think this window could have the reverse effect of last season's.

Apart from Yiadom and possibly Lindsay, I can't see any of our own players being subject to attention, unless a league one club is going to offer them better wages.

If we carry on in our present delicate state January can't possibly make us any worse can it? It can only improve us.
