    I wasn't happy with the sale of Vaz Te, even less so at the thought that he was sold for 500k, however I understood the clubs position and the decision to sell rather than lose him for nothing a few months later. Having said that I would be amazed if given to likelihood of West Ham being promoted we didn't put some kind of clause in the contract when we sold him. If we didn't I'd be very interested to know why not.

    yes there was ............ it was the one that said "get fecked barnsley" we've spent 500k on Vaz Te because you were too scared to say no for a day or two.....

    Be interesting to know from Don Rowing why we wouldn't demand a promotion clause when selling a player to a club that at the time were in the automatic promotion places.

    there will be some poor excuse that west ham refused so they made them up their offer from 300k to 500k to make up for it, making 'the don' think he had got an amzing deal for the football club.

    If not, then seriously what are BFC playing at. Selling the clubs to scorer, for a measly £500,000, to a team in the automatic promotion place and not putting a promotion clause in would be idiotic.

    yep and tbh i don't think that it's one they're going to answer it unless they have. for example if a clause was on of a few hundred-thousand i'm sure that the club would say 'yes we had a promotion clause that has been activated worth X amount/undisclosed amount'.

    No answer=no promotion clause i think
