Just found this out, that he became the earliest scoring substitute (16th minute) when he came on against Leeds in December 2011. Coincidentally that's the only time a substitute has scored a hat-trick for Barnsley FC.

He's also the fastest scorer from the start of a match @ 7 seconds against Crystal Palace also in December 2011. Some month for Vaz Te ;) Thanks for the memories :)

Listening to under the cosh I’m pretty certain someone mentioned he was only on £500 a week when he joined

Yes, Luke Steele said he was only on £500 a week. Went to West Ham on £20k, which went up when they went up.

I recall him falling out of favour at West Ham because he was demanding £80k a week from what I recall. He wasn't getting regular game time and that led to his departure from what I remember.

I bloody loved Ricardo playing for little old Barnsley. Inevitable he was going to go but glad we had him for the time we did.
