    Horsfield's crap.

Always thought it. Theres just nothing to him. Leeds fans don't like him, Sheff Utd fans don't like him, I just can't see what he offers. See his pathetic attempt when given a free header 6 yards out at 0-0.

His hold up play and bringing others into game was good though. No, he didn't score, and we've enough players who do that.

NONE of the strikers scored today.

FIVE goals scored and none from a striker.

There were a couple of times he held it up..

But I thought Kay easily matched up to him for strength. I just don't really think Horsfield is much better than what we have. Just my opinion.

Blake is a striker(ish), though yeah, you're right. We had the best striker on the pitch for me today, for 35 minutes. I'm not a massive Nardiello fan, but sensational today.

Horsfield is like the tin man in Wizard of Oz before the oil can.
An old man before his time.

Nardiello today looked like the player

who we saw when he first came to the club.

if he really wants it, he can make it at this level.

Nope, I think the ******** abuse Hayes gets is nonsense. Nardiello's the best "striker" at the club, but I'm not a massive fan of any of our strikers. Hayes deserved to be dropped.

    My theory

is that certain players are better suited to this level, due to the nature of the games (more emphasis on playing football and less on kicking people out of the game).

Last season I thought about which players would perform better at a higher level, and I reckoned Nardiello, Howard, McPhail, Devaney, Hayes and Reid all fell into this category. Both Howard and McPhail have been outstanding so far, Nardiello suggested today that he could do well given a run, and I guess the jury is out on the others (Hayes looks like he's too weak and lazy for me).

Of those that I felt would not be able to handle it, I think Marc Richards is the shining example of being plain out of his depth.

and seemed hungry when he came on, some excellent touches. Ritchie needs to drop Richards now and look for a reaction from him too. Was pissed off with Richards foir missing another sitter and having an arguement with the manager whilst on the pitch

    he was not only sharper

he was much better at holding the ball up and in the air today than richards. wright seemed to improve once nads came on.

wright and richards were absolutely static in the first half - for me the best part of nardiellos game is his movement along with his finishing. when the forwards move it makes it so much easier for the attacking midfielders, i think that made the difference at times in the second half.

    His hold up play

seemed to consist of holding defenders, leading with his elbow and pushing defenders in the back.

Looks at home with dirty Leeds then!

yes, the bloke that plays league leaders! Obviously when I was considering the list he was playing for us, I just thought I'd mention him here as I reckon we could have done with keeping hold of him.

Not seen too many I have to admit, but what I have seen I think he's done quite well. I think he played well against us too. He has also played 16 games for the team at the top of the league, so he can't be doing that badly can he?
