If Huddersfield are bidding 750K for him, it's surely worth us bidding the same...... http://www.examiner.co.uk/huddersfi...s-750-000-striker-bid-reports-86081-23543453/
Don't know much about him but anyon ethat can score that amount of goals in that league (in a midtable side) is obviously doing something right, like Simon Cox. Got to be worth a punt, surely?
like odejayi was what we need is a proven championship scorer for e.g phillips we need to stop shopping at lower divisions it doesnt work
Unfair to compare Lambert with Oddjob. Lambert has a proven record albeit at a level below the championship whereas Oddjob didnt when he came to us. His record was pathetic at league 2 and conference level. I'd take a chance on someone like Lambert or Cox.
Michael Kightly, Andy Keogh, Jason Scotland, Aaron McLean, George Boyd, Craig Mackail-Smith, Brian Howard? nope, buying from **** leagues doesn't work.
Saw him play on Saturday Me and a mate took in the Bristol Rovers v Hartlepool game on Saturday. Lambert was strong, held the ball up well and had a decent touch, but the game was like a training game for Bristol Rovers, as Hartlepool were very poor. The lad alongside Lambert was good too - Kaffur. Nardiello managed to wind the home fans up with his whinging to his team mates and whinging to the referee. At one point the Rovers fans were singing "w@nker, w@nker what's the score at him". Incidentally, also saw Andy Bishop pplay a few weeks ago. A big no to him. Would take Lambert though.
I've seen him quite a bit... Great in the air, powerful shot on him and also an excellent free kick taker. Scores a lot of goals from long range. Would be a great signing in my opinion.
Sounds liek exactly the type of player we need, especially if he can take a free kick because we sure are **** in that department.
a forward who can score that many goals in league one shud be able to step up, dunno how much he'd cost
