Why the bloddy hell is he making a comeback? In my opinion he had a very good career, losing fights to 2 of the best of all time. What does he have to prove coming back, surely he cant be hard up for a few quid. Who does he expect to have a 'superfight' with, surely wont get to fight mayweather or pacquiou again, maybe Amir Khan?
he shouldn't be skint but thats the usual reason.........maybe he has been backing thereev's naps heavily!! hth
He's doing an after dinner speak at the Tandoori Hut in a couple of weeks. http://tandoorihutrestaurant.co.uk/an-evening-with-ricky-the-hitman-hatton-mbe
is it tomorrow when he annouce's if hes making a come back and if so what weight is he coming back at to fight? i read that he wants to fight paulie malignaggi next - a bloke hes battered before, hes daft if its true that he's making a comeback hes not fought for 3 years and before he retired he was a declining fighter then
He'll be coming back at welterweight I imagine. This isn't daft at all, what's daft about it? Some big fights to be had if he's still got 95% of what he had. Don't think you can say he was in decline either, he was class against Malignaggi in his penultimate fight - and Pauli has since gone on to win another world title by defeating an undefeated Ukrainian in his own back yard.
I reckon he is coming back to get a TV deal for his stable of fighters. His promotions outfit have no TV deal and if he makes a comeback it will get his fighter on TV with him.
I think that's one reason behind it, but I always thought the Manny fight wouldn't be his last. ITV rumoured to be the channel investing
Sounds like it's going to be a cracking undercard though. Quigg v's Munroe, Murray v's Geale and Flintoff's first fight as well (tongue in cheek with the latter.....)
