yeah went in june - stag do. class but not that cheap. full of big english crowds. you still end up spending £400 a weekend. women are gorgeous but many are hired to sit in bars to attract crowds and fleece drunk customers. thursday evenings are the best if you don't wanna be surrounded by cockneys. the strip joints are crap but the whole stag go was ace
what else do you want to know? you don't need to get a taxi all the way round tho some on a night are a total rip off. expect to pay 20 lats for the taxi from the airport. it's a lovely place, ***** for shopping if thats what ya interested in, will be cold in october. food is decent and reasonably priced, there is a chuffing TGI fridays, the beer is excellent (just don't buy western european beer). watch out for the young kids begging who hang about near the central park: the grab your leg and don't let go and you almost have to punch them full on in the face to get rid (seriously). not a big city, not much to do if ya there for more than 1 night except drink. you could go to the skonto riga ground, its ****, like millmoor, no tour but you can just walk or drive straight on the pitch (seriously) bar at the top of the skyscraper hotel is good. just at the end of the park
RE: what else do you want to know? I'm afraid Lee is in a meeting at the moment, but he will be free within the next 20 minutes. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
it works out at about £1 a pint going up to around £1.50 when you go to hotel bars etc. food is pretty cheap £4 for 2 course meal tho if ya want steak it costs a pretty packet. i spent approx £250 in 3 nights tho obviously some went on food and a lot on beer and random nightclubs etc. if ya going as a couple you won't spend owt like in did but please don't go under the impression that its as cheap as prague as it isn't. if ya off for 3 nights £300 should do you between ya both unless you wanna go to operas and the theatre etc
