    You have my admiration and also my sympathy. I'm glad I was behind my laptop today and not at Oakwell. Can't begin to appreciate how terrible those brave folk who attended today's game must be feeling.

    Even if I had started on a January de-tox process I would have given it up at about 5pm this aft.

    I started watching it last night

    Thinking "It can't get any worse". First ball, "Oh ******! Well, it can't get any worse." A few overs later, at 23 for 5, I thought I'd better go to bed. "Ah, well. We're playing Coventry at home in the cup tomorrow. It can't get any worse"!

    I know at least 2 people who have made that promise, and failed on every day so far!!

    I'm not daft enough. I did 2 x stretches of 9 months without alcohol, that was penance enough. I'm on a health kick that involves an exercise bike, and a glass of wine when BFC are *****. :)

    Blinking heck Fi, your liver will be fercked by the end of the season

    I did the same thing in January last year with no problem... this time so far, headaches, irritable, tired, broken sleep patterns. I did attribute all these to alcohol withdrawal but couldn't work out why last year I didn't have them.

    Last year I didn't have a season ticket but this year... as our transatlantic friends might say ' you do the math' :eek:
