Today was B*ll*cks. Admittedly I'm only listening on the radio, not watching, but from the sound their reserves have thrashed us. In this crappy league, we will need occasionally to rough it up a bit, when playing sets of cloggers like Donny. We need a midfielder who can win the ball - Jacob Burns isn't good enough at this. He is a good player and I wouldn't want to see him leave as he can pass a ball, but he's not strong enough in the tackle or good at closing people down. We also need a striker who can head the ball. Richards, Hayes, Wright and Nardiello are all too similar, we need a big lad who can get on the end of crosses and corners. Remember Shipperley and Dyer, or Wilkinson and Hendrie? Whats the use in playing two brilliant wingers, if we have no-one to get on the end of their crosses?

As I say, I don't want to be negative, and hope we can go up this season, but honestly, can you see us winning in the playoffs? Because we're not going to finish in the top two. I also don't think it's Ritchies fault, he is a good manager, he just doesn't seem to be able to vary his tactics to beat different styles of opponents.

    There we go.

He treid Wright and Richards away at Port Vale

It was hopeless. We were much better when Hayes came on.

Good managers can vary their tactics, I've said it before and will keep on saying it. Ritchie will not take us forward.

I thought he might have started with Wright today

Against Bristol, he looked just the sort of player who could mix it in a thug's game like today's.

Why do you people keep harping on adout Donny being thugs, why can't you accept the fact that today like the 2 games before this season they have been 2 or 3 yards faster than us moved about better than us and passed the ball far better than us and 5 defeats in 2 seasons to them tells me that Dave Penney knows a hell of a lot more than Ritchie about man managment. Okay hu didn't play for Man U and Leeds, who did he play for but I would swap managers any day.
