What do we seriously reckon we're going to do in the transfer market? Will we hang on to the key players whose names have been bandied about and will we fill the gaps in our squad? Is this season going to be any different to the previous two?</p>

Hopefully we will keep hold of our key players JCR , Foster, Hassel, Anderson and add to them with a few players with a bit of higher league experience and a couple of up and coming youngsters - probably won't happen but I can dream then go and rob me ma!

I think we wont bring anyone in for a couple of weeks, have a poor start to pre season then get 3/4 Lower league propects and No name foreigners in. Hopefully we will unearth a couple of gems.
Then we will add most of the strength to the first team with 2/3 season long loans.
If we keep hold of our star players depends only on how deep other clubs pockets are.... We have made it clear that every player has a price!!! I just hope they have valued them high enough for us to replace them with the fees we get...

there is a great difficulty in 'selling' Barnsley as a place to play football to young, ambitious footballers with other options. Quote JCR: "Would you live there?"

That said, I think Davey and Cryne have a great energy and enthusiasm for improving BFC and I hope that comes across to whoever they do try to sign. And then, I also hope the majority of supporters get behind them, leaving prejudices aside, instead of half hoping they fail and thus prompting an anti Davey rant in order to gain some sense of satisfaction in saying I told you so to a random selection of 'supporters' on a website.

I couldn't care less what JCR thinks of Barnsley - he can live in Leeds or Lambeth (which I am sure is a lovely place) for me.

There are loads of places in Barnsley and the surrounding areas fit for a footballer and I don't think they would go house hunting in Kendray

As I have said before we have pulled off plenty of coups over the years and as far as I am aware we still played in Barnsley then. I would LOVE Davey to prove me wrong and see us finish 6-8 places higher than last season but I am absolutely convinced that we will be fighting a relegation battle come April 2010.
